Old Cell Phone? Donate or Sell

In the last two days I have seen articles about getting rid of old cell phones so figured it was time to do a post about this. I used to give my phones to local police stations who distributed them to folks in need. This was back in the phone only days, long before smart phones. The phones could still be used to call 911.

Now you can sell your phone on eBay and similar sites (just need to remember what service you were subscribed to, not all phones work for all suppliers), donate them to charities and sell them to be recycled (and resold).
