Are we becoming too sensitive? Have we lost our sense of humor? What about independence? Much has changed since growing up in the 1950's, I admit, but I didn't know that common sense would disappear as progress grew.
I've seen online friends apologize to their kids after they had jokingly said in their blog that they wish they had had their grandkids first. Jeesh...is there anyone who hasn't said that?
I've seen online friends apologize for wanting their own life, being independent of others for the most part. Didn't that used to be a desirable trait?
I've seen online friends drop everything to go to the side of a loved one when needed, then return to their own life. Isn't that what we should do? Didn't our parents raise us to be independent, to live our lives on our own?
I don't have to agree with every blog I read or every person I talk to...that's what freedom is about. I can turn off the television or radio. I can walk away from a conversation. I can stop reading. It's my choice....and I live with the consequences of that choice.
Conversely, you don't have to pay attention to me. ;-)
Happily hopping through life,
