Recap of my first 15 days on the #BodyResetDiet

I did it, not without stumbles, but nothing major. The toughest thing for me was increasing my exercise level. I settled for just moving more (store walking) and making sure I got in my daily 15 minutes of beginning yoga. I do plan to increase that as time allows.

I have to say that I love the smoothies (well, except the green ones) and I will continue one or two on a regular daily basis. I was never really hungry except a couple of late evenings and I managed with high fiber, low calorie snacks (like air popped popcorn or celery with peanut)

Here are my stats:
Weight: 149# to 146.5#
Bust:        41" to 40"
Waist:      33" to 32.5"
Hips:        41" to 40.5"
Nothing dramatic but we are only talking two weeks of effort. I broke diet a little from time to time but nothing truly severely off limits. I did add in a small piece or two of dark chocolate on a few days, to get rid of that sweet craving. I never felt deprived and I actually enjoyed this "diet".

So where to from here? No major changes other than continuing to work on increasing my exercise time and maybe add in a little strength training. I'll report in from time to time and pass along any positive or negative results.

Interesting in the book that started this? The Body Reset Diet: Power Your Metabolism, Blast Fat, and Shed Pounds in Just 15 Days

Day Thirteen - #BodyResetDiet

It suddenly hit me last night that I was supposed to transition to Phase Three on Day Eleven...I forgot completely! That means my two real meals yesterday were OKAY. WOOT!! I like having my cereal and berries in the morning.

BREAKFAST 8:30AM
More honey nut shredded wheat with milk, strawberries and blueberries.

LUNCH 1:00PM
McDonald's Southwest Salad sans tortilla chips with dressing. 350 calories

SNACK 3:00PM
Splurged with some McDonald's low fat yogurt ice cream

EXERCISE 6:00PM
3 minutes on the elliptical

DINNER 8:00PM
Pineapple, nectarine, apple, orange, almonds, ice and yogurt. Can you say YUMMY!!!!

SNACK 9:00PM
Skipped, too full and know I didn't exercise enough today. Tough to do when I'm spending most of the day at McDonald's writing.

Day Twelve - #BodyResetDiet

I got so excited when I weighed in this morning - 146.4#. Woot!! Then I ate breakfast and headed to McDonald's to work on my next mystery novel, "Barely a Spark".

BREAKFAST 9:00AM
Honey nut shredded wheat with blueberries, strawberries and milk.

LUNCH 1:00PM
I was at McD's so tried to be as good as I could with the Southwestern Grilled Chicken Salad. Pulled all the tortilla chips off. Only downside is two cups of coffee each with one cream, one sugar. Tomorrow I'll remember to do a smoothie breakfast.

SNACK 4:00PM
Triscuit and nuts

EXERCISE 6:30PM
Personal record....5 minutes on the elliptical. Thanks to Garth Brooks and "Ain't Going Down Till the Sun Comes Up", topped off with a little "Magic Carpet Ride" from Steppenwolf. Phew....

DINNER 10:00PM
Egad! Just looked at the clock...it's ten and I haven't had dinner. Off to make a berry smoothie.
